BROWN Ruby Louise Brown, 84, passed away Friday, November 23, 2007. Mrs. Brown was a native of Gastonia, North Carolina and was a longtime resident of the Riverview area of Jacksonville. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and had worked at the voting polls for many years. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Basil F. Brown in April of 1976. Survivors include: two daughters, Pat (Jim) Rigdon and Brenda (Terry) Smith; one son, Buddy (Peggy) Brown; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great- great-granddaughter, a niece, a nephew, other loving family and dear friends. She also leaves behind her loving and caring companion, Ray Harry. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2007 in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. Jim Rigdon and Rev. Tim Rigdon o fficiating.
