KING, Ruby May Passed away peacefully in her home on December 3rd, 2008 at the age of 88. Born in New Norway Alberta, May 16, 1920, she was predeceased by her two husbands, Eugene King and Bob Burton. She will be missed by her surviving sisters, Evelyn Porcher, of Edmonton, and Juanita Brown of Surrey. Ruby leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Michelle, Larissa, Maureen, Jan, Carmen, Taylor and Graham, her daughter Alexis Beringer and her son Rex King. Ruby taught school for many years in rural Alberta and Edmonton followed by a number of years of English as a second language at Alberta College. Her joys in life were her family, her gardening, playing duplicate bridge and correcting others grammatical errors. A celebration of Ruby's life will take place at Goward House, Victoria, BC at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. December 13, 2008.
