Ruby Mae Hayes Johnson, 82, of 312 Palmer St., died Dec. 23, 2003, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Charles and Ella Mae Green Hayes, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are two sons, Bill Johnson of Greer and Tommy Johnson of Conestee; a daughter, Martha Ann Bates of Greer; two brothers, Ernest Junior Hayes Jr. of Duncan, and Franklin D. Hayes of Charleston; one sister, Ethel Burrell of Greer; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Mae Akers; and two brothers, Robert B. Hayes and James Henry Hayes.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary. Burial will be in Wood Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the mortuary. The family is at the home. - The Wood Mortuary
