Survived by sons, Alvin Carter, Jr., Eric (Betty) Carter and Donnell (Chandra) Carter; daughters, Carolyn (Thomas) Brown, Linda Stratton and Anita (Samuel) Kennedy; cousin, Nonie Thompson; devoted nephew, Ronald Stanton; sister-in-law, Emma Roberts; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
