Retired Civil Service AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby Inez Davidson Brown, 89, of Augusta, entered in to rest on Friday, May 12, 2006, at the residence. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert C. Daniel and Rev. Boyd Lien officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Brown was a native of Columbia county and was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Davidson and the late Cora Frances Spires Davidson. She was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church and had retired from civil service. Survivors include her husband, Jack C. Brown, two daughters, Rebecca B. McKenzie and son in law, Donald H. McKenzie of Knoxville, TN; and Mary B. Tidwell and son in law Dr. Joel R. Tidwell, of Douglasville, GA, one sister, Alma D. Hatcher of Evans, and four grandchildren, Jason Patrick McKenzie, Melissa Tidwell Pittman, Travis Joel Tidwelland Merritt Elizabeth Tidwell. Pallbearers will be Travis Joel Tidwell, William J. Murphy Jr., James P. Hatcher Jr.; Jason Patrick McKenzie, Robert Doyle Pittman and Glenn Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Matthews Covenant Sunday School Class and the Prime Timers of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
