She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Carter, who was employed by Genesco in Huntsville for many years. Survivors include daughters, Paula Carter Sanders and husband, W.F. of Huntsville, Eleanor Carter Marvin and husband, Harley of Hamilton, MT and Margaret Carter Kelley and husband, Joe of Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, Huntsville, AL. There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Huntsville, Alabama Building Fund, 120 Greene St., Huntsville, AL 35801 or to a favorite charity.
