Ruby Ellen Jennings BOILING SPRINGS, SC-Miss Ruby Ellen Jennings, 81, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at her home. Miss Jennings was a native of Spartanburg County and a daughter of the late William A. and Annie Poteat Jennings, and was reared by her stepmother, Ninevah Jennings. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a retired textile employee. She is survived by a sister, Helen Chumley of Greenville, SC; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Jennings; niece, Elaine Merritt and husband Durwood; a nephew, Wayne Chumley and wife Dot; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Ned Jennings and nephew, Brent Jennings. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Ty Childers. The family will greet friends following the service at the gravesite. Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 1551 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
