Ruby E. Carter - Collins -Ruby E. Carter, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Candler County Hospital. The Stephens County native had lived in Lyons for many years moving to Collins six years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Vidalia Baptist Temple. She enjoyed traveling and being with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Carter. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law: Judy and Donnie Johnson of Cobbtown Diana and Stevie Lynn of Collins, Melinda and Clay Sharpe of Jacksonville, FL and Trina and Herschel Scott of Vidalia, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Reidsville. Funeral Services will he held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007 from the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home of Reidsville. Burial: Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.
