BABB, Ruby - Passed away in the arms of her sister, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, N.Y. on July 29, 2006. Born in Windle Village, Ontario, on September 4, 1923, the daughter of James and Martha (Armstrong) Brown. She attended St. Catharines Business College. She was to wife of Rev. Dr. Harold Kenneth Babb. Among her many achievements were her service of secretary to the President of Chautaugua Institution and as executive secretary of the Niagara Council of Churches with an extensive background in music. Ruby was soloist in many area churches in Niagara Falls. Survived by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Dr. Harold K. Babb, sister of Ruth Pett of St. Catharines, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Burial has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in 1st United Methodist Church, 8210 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at a later date in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Thorold, Ontario.
