Rosemary-Helen Manley, née en 1927, conjointe de David Manley, est décédée le 27 juillet 2011 à l'âge de 84 ans. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
MANLEY, Rosemary Helen (Bell-Irving)Our beloved mother, Granny and "Gee-Gee" passed away peacefully in hospital on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011, aged 84. Rosie is survived by her daughters, Susanne Trerise, Theo and Irene Manley and her son, Harold Manley (Erin McCarthy), grandchildren, Lindsay, Jessica (David Wargo), and Tony Trerise, Bryce, Cameron, and Shayla Masuk, and great grandsons, Caelob and Liam Farrell. She was predeceased by her husband David, son, Anthony Sascha, sister Norah Johnston and son-in-law Barry. Mom lived with kindness, generosity and intelligence and was a great role model of strength and perseverance through adversity to her family. In addition to being the loving centre of our homes in North Vancouver, Crescent Beach and Langley, she was a graduate of the University of B.C. and had an earlier career in Public Health as a bacteriologist. In later years, she and Dad raised Highland cattle and Standardbred horses on their South Langley farm. Snow camping was a passion of Mom's and she spent many happy hours with girl guides and pathfinders as Brown Owl and Snowy Owl. Never without animals nearby, Mom cared for many beloved dogs, cats, horses and family pets - her love of animals will be both a remembrance and a comfort to us as we carry on without her. A celebration of Rosemary's life will be held Saturday, October 8th. Further details will be available from sue.trerise@live.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Girl Guides of Canada or Covenant House would be gratefully appreciated
