Mrs. Rose Zelma Casey February 9, 1922 - April 9, 2009 CASEY, Rose Zelma 87, of Dartmouth passed away April 9, 2009, at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Upper Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Eloi and Neomise (Pothier) Boudreau. Zelma was a retired teacher and taught for many years at Ian Forsyth School in Dartmouth. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who enjoyed gardening and loved seasonal decorations. She was an extensive traveller and was very proud of her Acadian ancestry. She was also a CWL member of St. Thomas More Parish, Dartmouth for 48 years. Married for 58 years she is survived by her husband, Charles Edwin, Dartmouth; sister, Valerie Bernson, Higganum, Conn.; sons, Andrew (Mary), Cole Harbour; Joe (Beth), Halifax; and daughter, Anne Marie (Don) White, Eastern Passage; grandchildren, Margaret, Denise (Jason), Ryan (Kristin) and Karen (Stephen), great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Vaiden and Patrick as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Andrew, George, Frederick, Louis, and sisters Margaret and Geraldine. Visitation will be held in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 320 Flying Cloud Dr., Dartmouth at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 13. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, on Tuesday, April 14, with Father Irek Bem officiating. Her ashes will be laid to rest in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only.
