WILLIAMS, Rose (Blais)1925 - 2015Sunday January 25, 2015 our mother Rose Williams passed on peacefully in her 90th year at the West Island Palliative Care Residence in Kirkland, QC . Predeceased by her husband Walter James Williams, both from Winnipeg and she from a large family of 13, one of the youngest daughters of Emery Blais and Bernadette Pilon , a school teacher. Mom and dad had two sons while he was in the RCAF then was transferred to Ottawa , had four more sons and then finally transferred to Dorval and had their daughter before finally moving to the family home in Beaconsfield. She will be missed by her children Lloyd (Sonia), Reginald (Myrna), Douglas (Mary), Brian (Klara),Garry (Lucy), Glen ( Laurie), Audrey ( Michael), her 14 grandchildren, her 11 great-grandchildren, her sister Memie Hallett, her long-time companion Dominique Laurin, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Mom was a bit of a social butterfly in Dorval always surrounded by many friends. She volunteered at both the Lachine and Lakeshore General hospitals for many years. She loved travelling the world, country music, dancing and just joking around. Visitation to be held at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeshore General hospital and the West Island Palliative Care Residence would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Dr Hubert Polson and assistant Mary Sills, Dr Laryea, Dr Franco Sandrin, Dr. Fozzi and staff at the LGH and all the wonderful TEAM at the WIPCR.
