Beloved wife of late Harold 'Whitey' Smith; dearest mother of Rose Marie (John) Brueckl, Patricia (late Thomas) Sestak, Michael (Shirley) Smith and Shawn Smith; daughter of the late John and Anna Blidy; sister of Mary Wojciechowski and the late Andrew, Joseph, John, Sophie Thorn, Catherine Briggs, Anna Goeseke, Nancy Leschuk, Sally Rasmus, Peter, Alexander, Paul, Dorothy, Julia Blidy; survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Family present Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the HOY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca, where prayers will be said Thursday morning at 8:45, followed by a Mass Of Christian Burial at St. Ambrose Church at 9:30. Friends invited. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials to St. Ambrose Church appreciated. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW #6245 Joseph Hriczko Post and a member of St. Ambrose Church for 56 years.
