Rose Miller, 84, Sarasota, died June 24, 2006. She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Berne, Ind., and came to Sarasota in 1992 from Champaign, Ill., where she retired in 1992 as owner of Miller Auto Sales. She was a member and usher at Bayshore Mennonite Church. Survivors include her husband, Mahlon H.; a daughter, Barbara Ward of Russellville, Ark.; sons Harvey of Sarasota and Robert of Mahomet, Ill.; a sister, Rachael Hostetler of Centerville, Mich.; brothers Sol Schwartz and Amos Schwartz, both of Berne, Abe Schwartz of Nottawa, Mich., and Joe Schwartz of Harlan, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home. Another visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday, with services to follow, at Bayshore Mennonite Church. Burial will be in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Bayshore Mennonite Church, 3809 Chapel Drive, Sarasota, FL 34234.
