MARTIN _ Rose Lillian (nee Schwean) Born April 6, 1915, passed away peacefully in Calgary on March 23, 2008 at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore. Rose will be dearly missed and always remembered by her children, Jerome (Merle) Martin, Bonnie Ladner, and Cathy (Charlie) Martin-Frew; her darling grandchildren, Paul (Mona) Martin, Sami (Doug) Ladner-Zech, Heidi (Dale) Jacobs, Chad (Arlene) Ladner and Kiera Ladner; her precious great-grandchildren, Melissa and Cole Ladner, Martine Ladner-Zech and Emily and Aidan Martin; her brother Walter (Betty) Swane and her sisters Violet LaRochelle and Lynda Reicken as well as numerous nieces, nephews and her many, many dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved Paul in 2001; sister Milly and brother Vic. Rose was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived in Saskatchewan, Mexico, Texas, Michigan and Montana as a child. She and Paul were married for more than sixty years and farmed in the Golden Prairie, Saskatchewan area. They later retired to Medicine Hat, finally moving to Calgary to be closer to their children. The family extends many thanks to the staff at Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore who added joy and comfort to the last four years of Rose's life. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Interment to follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
