Rose Marie Johnson, nee Woodring, age 93, of Pitman, NJ, wife of the late Ellwood M. Johnson, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 in Vitas Hospice, Stratford, NJ. Born in Port Matilda, PA, she has been a resident of Pitman since 1952. She and her husband were both charter members of St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. A housewife and homemaker, Mrs. Johnson enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers in her gardens. Surviving are her son, Siegfried M. Johnson; her daughter, Signe J. Henderson; and her two grandchildren, Kirsten Fidler and Jacob Henderson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012, at 11:00 AM in the MATHIS FUNERAL HOME, 43 N. Delsea Drive, Glassboro, NJ, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Woodbury Memorial Park, W. Deptford, NJ.
