ALBANY Rose Margaret Kent, RSCJ, 86, died at Kenwood Convent of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, January 18, 2003. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., September 23, 1917, she entered the Society of the Sacred Heart in September 1938, making her final vows in Albany, September 15, 1947. Sr. Rose was one of ten Kent children. Three of the five girls entered the Society of the Sacred Heart and one, the Sisters of St. Joseph. One of the boys entered the Christian Brothers. Sr. Rose spent more than 40 years of her ministry in dietary services. Sr. Rose Kent is survived by her sister, Sr. Theresa Kent, RSCJ; and many loving, devoted nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and by a dear family friend, Barbara Wyzlic of Shelby, Mich. A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, January 21 at 4:15 p.m. in the Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 22 at 9:00 a.m. in the Convent Chapel, 799 S. Pearl St. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Sr. Rose Kent to the Religious of the Sacred Heart, Kenwood Convent.
