Mass of Christian Burial for Rose I. Johnson, 83, Tenth Street, New Smyrna Beach, who died Sunday, April 30, 2006, will be 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Wake service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. Mrs. Johnson was born in Providence, R.I., and moved to this area in 1972 from Orlando. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the church prayer line. Survivors include her sister, Mel (Gene) Ratliff, Riverton, Wyo.; sisters-in-law, Alice and Helen Albanese, and brother-in-law, Paul Smith, all of Providence; and dear and close friends, George, Margaret and Virginia Schramm, Edgewater. She was predeceased by her husband, Roby J. Johnson; brothers, John and Henry Albanese; sister, Louise Smith; and stepson, Kenneth Johnson. Rose was a friend to many and always had a kind word for everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
