TUSCALOOSA Rosa Mae Jones, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, died July 24, 2008, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Richards and Rev. Lawrence Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Jones, her sons, Harvey Jones and Chester Jones, and her son-in-law, LaFayette Ruffin.Survivors include her daughters, Betty Marlowe (Archie) and Rubie Ruffin; her daughters-in-law, Brenda Jones and Mary Jones; her sisters, Willie Hutchins and Louise Burnette (Leon); her grandchildren, Steve Black (Charlotte), Brenda Black, Andy Norris (Christi), Roy Jones, Kristi Kelly (Brian), Tommy Jones (Amy), Kevin Ruffin, Mark Ruffin (Christie), and Rosanne Junkins (John); and her great grandchildren, Karl, Grace, and Grady Kelly, Jake and Amanda Junkins, Hayden and Garrett Ruffin, Alexus Jones, and Caroline Jones."Maw Maw" was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great "Grand Maw Maw". She was an active member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church until her health failed. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, sewing, and playing her piano. A lot of fun and happy memories will continue to be shared even though she is no longer here with us. We will meet her again. We miss you Maw Maw!Pallbearers will be Steve Black, Mark Ruffin, Tommy Jones, Brian Kelly, Andy Norris, Roy Jones, and Randy Jones.Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of the Lake Nicol Community, members of Piney Grove Baptist Church, former employees of the University of Alabama, Hospice of West Alabama, and Pearl Noland.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
