RODNEY E. ANDERSON Rodney E. Anderson, age 85, of Barefoot Bay, FL and Madison, CT entered into rest peacefully with his family at his side in Florida on November 26, 2012. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia Lawler Anderson, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. Born in New Haven on October 7, 1927, he was the son of the late Carl and Anna (Mobeck) Anderson. He served in the US Army at the end of WWII and was a 1951 graduate of the University of Connecticut. He worked as an industrial engineering manager at United Nuclear Corporation for over 30 years. Originally from Hamden and Clinton, CT, Rod and Pat moved to Barefoot Bay, where they spent their retirement years playing golf and entertaining at their home located on the 16th fairway. They returned to Connecticut each summer to their cottage in Lanphiers Cove and spent the season with their children, grandchildren and friends. Rod is survived by his son Stephen Anderson and his wife Carol, and two grandchildren, Eric and Scott of Madison; his daughter Lauren Anderson and her partner Susan Gagnon of Warwick, RI and two grandchildren, Zachary and Chase. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Ruth Anderson from Barefoot Bay. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Arthur, Herbert and Stanley Anderson and his sister Maybelle Mower. A memorial service will be held on January 5, 2013 at the North Madison Congregational Church in Madison, CT at 11:00.
