MACKLIN, Roberta (Bobbie) Louise (nee Jones) - After a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit on July 15, 2008, in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) for 39 years, she is survived by two children, Douglas (Emily Jackman) and Jennifer (John Moffatt). Bobbie was predeceased by her parents, Doug and Betty Jones. She will be sadly missed by sisters Dene McIntosh (Willie), Suzanne Raback (Cam) and Kate Boucher (Rick), and sisters-in-law Pat Raines (the late Neil) and Cathy (Ray). Also her loving mother-in- law Betty Macklin of Peterborough and Aunts Lois Hunter and June Collins as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to their many friends, family and neighbours for providing comfort and support to Bobbie during her long battle with cancer. A special thanks is extended to the nurses and staff at the PRHC Palliative Care Unit, Dr. J.J. Beamish and Dr. Keogh and Prohome nursing staff. Visitation will be held at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough (705) 745-4683 on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. A funeral service celebrating Bobbie's life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 235 Rubidge Street on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 1:30 p.m., Canon Ron Davidson officiating. A reception will follow. A private family interment service will be held at a later date. In memory of Bobbie, and as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. 11167986
