CROWE, Roberta Elizabeth (Muir)March 7, 1918 – August 1, 2014It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roberta Crowe. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Harold; son Terry (Donna); grandchildren Greg, Lori, Neil, Ian, Jaime, and Alyson; and a number of great-grandchildren. Roberta was predeceased by daughter Sheila; sisters Agnes, Stella, and Louise; sisters- in-law Pearl, Edna, and Margaret; brothers- in-law Cecil, Carl, Michael, Robert, Gordon, Roy, and John; as well as one niece and four nephews.Roberta was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, and raised on a farm near Herschel. She attended normal school, and taught at Toft Hill School. Roberta and Harold were married on October 7, 1942. They moved to Edmonton in 1947. After her children were grown, Roberta attended the University of Alberta where she earned her degree in education. She returned to teaching, and taught at Westglen Elementary School.Following retirement, Roberta enjoyed travelling internationally with Harold, spending time at their cabin on Pigeon Lake, and oil painting.The family would like to thank all of the healthcare providers who tended to Roberta during the last few years, particularly those at George Hennig Place in Stony Plain. As Roberta wished, no service will be held. Her ashes will be interred in Herschel Cemetery. Donations in Roberta's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
