Robert W. Thomas III, 70, Sarasota, died Aug. 25, 2002. He was born March 23, 1932, in Hartford, Conn., and came to Sarasota in 1972 from there. He retired from National Retail Services in Sarasota. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann; a daughter, Kathryn Ann of Fort Lauderdale; a son, Robert W. IV of Tampa; a sister Ellen T. Gale of Chestertown, Md.; and two grandchildren. There will be no visitation. A Mass will be at noon Thursday at the Church of the Incarnation. Burial will be in Palms Memorial Park.
