Robert William Anderson, 74, of Greenville, died Feb. 11, 2002. Born in Oak Park, Ill., he was the son of the late Lloyd Wilbur and Alida Slottag Anderson. Mr. Anderson was CEO andChairman of the Board for Standard Plywoods, Inc, Anderson Hardwood Floors, and Walterboro Veneer. He was a graduate of Northwestern University and a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. He served on numerous committees and boards for non-profit organizations and schools, served as Vice-Chairman of South Carolina Ports Authority for seven years, and was presented the USCS Founders Day Award. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Dolores "Dodie" Femer Anderson; four daughters, Susan Bell and her husband Allen, of Walterboro, Nancy Finkell and her husband Don, of Spartanburg, Judy Gillespie of Greer and Randi Berry and her husband Brett, of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gerald Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29615; Greenville Humane Society, 328 Furman Hall Road, Greenville, SC 29609; or Spartanburg Humane Society, Dexter Road, Spartanburg. - The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
