COLONIE Robert T. Harrington, 77, of Colonie, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the Teresian House. He was born in Albany and is the son of the late Theodore R. and Helen Boucher Harrington. Mr. Harrington was a Colonie resident for 42 years. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a N.Y.S. employee for over 40 years, retiring from the Department of Parks and Recreation. Mr. Harrington was a life member of the National Wildlife Society. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed reading. Bob is the beloved husband of 43 years to Tressa C. Hubbard Harrington. He is the devoted father of Dawn A. Harrington and Sue Harrington Howenstein and her husband, Matthew. He is the brother of Nancy Harrington. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Teresian House and to Bob's good friend, Sonia Fox for all of the care and support given to him during his illness. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A memorial service will follow at 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Teresian House, Alzheimer's Unit, 200 Washington Ave. Extension, Albany, NY 12203 in memory of Robert T. Harrington.
