ROCHESTER — Robert "Butch" Rouleau, 69, of Franklin Street in Rochester, died July 7, 2009, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.He was born on Sept. 6, 1939, in W. Lebanon, Maine, son of the late George L. and Inez E. (Eldridge) Rouleau. In addition to his wonderful parents, he was predeceased by a brother, George "Junior" Rouleau; a sister, Gladys "Tinker" and brother-in-law, Herbert Merrill and brother-in-law, Wallace "Dee" Gilbert. Butch worked at General Electric in Somersworth for many years, retiring in August of 1997. After retirement, he worked part time at Foster's Daily Democrat and recently at Sanel's Auto Parts in Rochester, where he made many great friends. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fan of all sports, including the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and NASCAR. He also loved going to the casinos. He enjoyed working around his house, always having a new project to do and he was always willing to do something for anyone that needed his help. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone.He is survived by his wife, Connie (Gilbert) Rouleau and two sons, Rocky Rouleau and his daughter, Delanie, Walter "Rusty" Rouleau and his longtime companion, Claudio Rodrigues; two daughters, Tami and husband, Paul Paquette and their children, Jace and Holly; a great-granddaughter, Jaelyn, Penny and husband, Todd Wormstead and grandson, Lincoln; two sisters, Marion and husband, Donald Warnecke and Beverly Tufts; nephew, Richard and wife, Linda Merrill; nieces, Betty Jean and husband, Fred Chisholm, Linda and husband, Ted Buczek and Cheryl Warnecke; stepson:, Dwayne Gilbert; two stepdaughters, Julie and husband, Andy Britton, Laura Gilbert and Roland Kimball; mother-in-law, Helen Gilbert; sister-in-law's, Nancy Gilbert, Anne Letourneau, Betty and husband, Jerry Hunnicutt, Michele and husband, Robert Amidon, and brother-in-law, Donald and wife, Ruth Gilbert.Calling hours are Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St., Farmington, N.H. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 10 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date at New Cold Springs Cemetery in E. Rochester.
