DEBARY Robert P. Ames, 80, of Bittersweet Drive, a former supervisor in the electronics industry, died Sunday at home. Mr. Ames, a Navy veteran of World War II, and an Army veteran of the Korean War, was born in Sangerville, Maine. He moved to this area in 1986 from Barre, Mass. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8093, and a member of the Fourtowns Moose Lodge 655. Mr. Ames enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Harriett; a son, Stevan, DeBary; three daughters, Robyn D'Amora, Geneva, Marcia Langelier, Barre, and Kathleen Vincent, Hubbardston, Mass.; a brother, Arthur, Lewiston, Maine; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Lane, Port Orange, FL 32129. Fourtowns Cremation, Orange City, is in charge.
