The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at 3:30 p.m.Mickey was born on April 25, 1950 in Jackson, TN, the son of the late Robert Paul Smith and Annie Mae Rogers Smith Howell. He attended local schools and Jackson State Community College. He joined the Marines and served two tours of duty in Vietnam 1969 - 1970. He was awarded the Silver Star as well as other metals. He has lived in Reno, NV for the past 30 years.He is survived by his wife Kim Black Smith of Reno, NV; his son Michael Shane Smith of Reno, NV; his daughter Melissa C. Smith of Renton, WA; granddaughters Tiana and Jaden of Renton, WA; his sisters Frances Hearn and June Dorris of Jackson, TN.
