Robert M. Anderson, 81, Venice, died Dec. 11, 2003. He was born July 26, 1922, in Terre Haute, Ind., and came to Venice in 1974 from Indianapolis. He owned R.M. Anderson Co., an industrial air handling equipment manufacturer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. He graduated from Purdue University and was a former member of Venice Power Squadron and the Elks Lodge. He was a member of Unity Church of Venice. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Jeanne; sons Eric R. of Milltown, Ind., and Daniel G. of Venice; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Unity Church of Venice. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Unity Church of Venice, 125 N. Jackson, Venice, FL 34292; or to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
