Mr. Robert List Lee, 90, of Gainesville died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at his residence.Born in Rochester, N.Y., Mr. Lee was the son of the late Walker S. and Margaret H. Zimmer Lee. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired pilot with Imperial Airlines. Mr. Lee was a member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church.Survivors include his grandchildren, Robert Smith and Tabitha Elliott, both of Gainesville; special caregiver, Annette Purdy, Pendergrass.Mr. Lee is preceded in death by his wife, Susie Daniel Lee; son, Robert List Lee Jr.; and daughter, Margaret Ann Lee Smith.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Flat Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate.
