Mr. Robert Leslie Parker October 14, 1931 - October 23, 2008 - The passing of Robert “Bob” Parker, age 77 years of Rosetown, SK., occurred at St. Paul’s Hospital on Thursday, October 23rd, 2008. Bob is survived by his loving wife Mary; daughter Wanda Burton, Moose Jaw, SK., and her children Lisa and Nicole; son Greg, Rosetown, SK.; sister Audrey (Richard) Bracken; sister-in-law Bette Parker; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents Les and Ellen; brothers Ted and Bill. Bob was born and raised in Ardath, SK.. He took over from his father and managed the United Grain Growers for 30 years. Bob and Mary retired in Rosetown, SK. He enjoyed watching sports and curling on TV, camping with family and friends, and going to fiddle contests and festivals. Bob was also a member of the Elks Lodge. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway crossing). Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In Bob’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Rosetown Health Centre Foundation (Building Fund), Box 653, Rosetown, SK S0L 2V0.
