Robert Lawson Parkerof San Diego, Calif.Robert Lawson Parker, 55, of San Diego, Calif., died unexpectedly November 24, 2004. He was born December 21, 1948 in Cortland, N.Y., the son of Robert M. and Norma Parker. Bobby lived in Marathon, N.Y. until graduation from Marathon Central High School in 1966. He graduated from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. His love of people made him a natural, both in his profession of teacher in Chicago, Illinois area, as well as working in sales for Florstar and Mohawk Industries in Naperville, Illinois, Bettendorf, Iowa, and San Diego, Calif. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He loved his family and friends and his hearty laugh was known by all. His survivors include his mother, Norma G. Parker; wife and life partner of 35 years, Regina Kay (Smith) as well as his pride and joy; his children, Drew, in college and Lauren, San Diego, Calif. Also surviving are two sisters, Wendy (Michael) Graham, Englewood, Fla.; sister, Amy (James) Bonawitz; and niece, Kady, Marathon, N.Y.; as well as several other nieces and nephews who loved "Uncle Bobby." He was predeceased by his father, Robert Munson Parker.Viewing and calling hour will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2004, at the Marathon Presbyterian Church. Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Marathon Cemetery. Donations in his memory should be made to MAVAC or the Marathon Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by A.C.
