ROBERT L. WALK LOWELL, IN Robert L. Walk, 61, of Lowell passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point. He was born on September 11, 1950 in Williamsburg PA to David and Jean Harbaugh Walk. On April 27, 1974 at St. John the Baptist Church in Whiting he married Alane Kaminsky Walk who survives in Lowell. Bob is also survived by his children: Bobby Walk and Jenanne (Matthew) Kalvaitis all of Lowell; three grandchildren: Bryce, McKenna, and Tyler; and his mother, Jean Dukeman of Altoona, PA; three brothers Jim (Jerrie) Walk, Dan (Patty) Walk, and Randy Dukeman all of Altoona PA; brother-in-law, Alan (Sheri) Kaminsky of New Carlisle, IN; and sister-in-law, Annette (Gerry) Stephens of San Diego CA; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David Walk. Bob was a retired mechanic at Inland Steel with 30 years service. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed tinkering in his pole barn. Bob was a best friend to his wife, Alane and a wonderful father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 216 South Nichols St., Lowell IN at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ted Norquist officiating. Burial will be at the St. Edward Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 at the Geisen Funeral Home, 624 North Main St., Hebron IN and Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. (time of service) at the church.
