->Litchfield -- Robert L. Thornton, Jr, 51, of Keziah Lane passed away Sunday Oct. 22, 2006, unexpectedly at his home following a long illness. He was born in Gardiner on March 27, 1955, a son of Robert Sr. and Erma N. (Perry) Thornton. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald P. and Michael J. Thornton, and a nephew Ronald P. Thornton. He is survived by his parents of Gardiner, a niece Tracey L. Thornton of Gardiner, three nephews Drew, Cameron and Brady Peaslee, all of Gardiner and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Private family and extended family visiting hours will be held at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave. Gardiner, on Tuesday from 3-4 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in the family lot in St Joseph's Cemetery, Gardiner following the service.
