October 3, 2007 Robert L. Harrington, 78, of West Monroe, passed away at home on Wednesday with his family by his side. Robert battled for many years with Parkinson's Disease before his short term struggle with Cancer. Robert served with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Carpenter after 25 years of service with the United Local #12. Robert was previously employed at Syracuse China for 15 years and a Tax Assessor with the Town of West Monroe. His passion was hunting and building houses. Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Mary Cole; two sons, Mark and Gary (Jackie) Harrington; three daughters, Gail (Jim) Cronk, Judy Harrington, and Ellen (Daryll) Seelman; one brother, Warren Harrington; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his loving dog, Jake. Funeral Service: Saturday, 11 a.m. at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main Street, Central Square. Calling hours: Friday, 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
