SHELBYVILLE ARINGTON, ROBERT L., 74, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Shelby County, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at the Hospice Care Center at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. A native of Shelby County, KY, he was the son of the late Guthrie and Elnora Black Arington. A member of Crosswoods Baptist Church, Mr. Arington was a former pharmaceutical sales representative for Pfizer and Texas Pharmacal, and later owned and operated a Convenient store in Frankfort. He was also a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and a charter member of the Long Run Kiwanis Club in Middletown. Robert Arington is survived by his wife, Charlotte Barnett Arington; two daughters, Lynne Arington Nooner (Richard), of Frankfort, KY and Kimberly Arington of Lexington; three brothers, Donald R. Arington of Frankfort, Tom Arington of Cincinnati, OH and James C. Arington, of Louisville; and three grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen Bruce officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
