Postal Worker LAKELAND -- Mr. Robert "Bob" Whitman Johnson of Lakeland died of heart failure Sunday (April 6, 2003) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 84. Born in Harmony, Maine, on June 22, 1918, he came to Lakeland from East Hartford, Conn., in 1978. He was a retired postal worker in East Hartford for 23 years. He was a member of the F&AM Lodge No. 122 in Deer Isle, Minn. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Presbyterian Church in the Highlands, Lakeland. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Johnson. He is survived by his son, Robert Luddy, Greenbelt, Md.; daughter, Barbara Harrison, Dunedin; four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church in the Highlands. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Florida National Cemetery.
