Mr. Robert James Morris, age 84, of Lula died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Morris was born in Banks County to the late Frank and Adell Forrester Morris. Mr. Morris retired from the Department of Transportation, and he was a World War II Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Ruth Reid Morris; son, Bobby Morris; brothers, Wilton and Coleman Morris; and sister, Eunice Sheridan. Mr. Morris is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve Wehunt of Gainesville; daughter-in-law and her husband, Doris Morris and Jimmy Anglin of Maysville; four grandchildren, Amy Lunsford, Cindy Wehunt, Ashley Morris, and Reggie Morris; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan Mitchell, Tori Lunsford, Ansley Lunsford, and Zane Novotny. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 3 p.m. from Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph O. Smith officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6 to 9 p.m. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
