JACKSON, Robert William Emerson1927 - 2012Robert William Emerson Jackson of Brockville, Ontario, born November 14, 1927, died March 31, 2012. Bob was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Alan, first wife Jean (nee McKee) and son Robert. Survived by his wife Marguerite, sister Ruth, sons Brian (Patti) of Vancouver, BC and Steven (Sue) of Dorval, QC, daughters Susan of Ottawa, ON and Sandra of Toronto, ON, also six grandchildren Joshua, Sam, Matthew, Jessica, Devon and Courtney and great-granddaughter Persephone. Bob was in the Armed Forces for 31 years, serving in Korea 1951, Germany 1969-72, retired in 1978. He was employed at Brockville General Hospital for 14 years. Bob was also a member of Branch 96 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Brockville ON. Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC, 514-685-3344 on Wednesday, April 4 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4239 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC on Thursday, April 5 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, hug someone you love.
