Robert Harrington, age 75, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2008 unexpectedly at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach. A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2008 at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Moorehead officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at Daytona Beach Memorial Park immediately following the service with an Honor Guard. He served in the Navy during World War II. He enjoyed his solitude walking on the beaches & dining out in Daytona while caring for his two cats over the years. He is survived by his step-daughter, Heather (Thomas) Gibbs, of Jacksonville, FL; cousin, Helen Cribbs, of Savannah, GA; grandson, Stuart Caskey, of Battle Creek, MI; and friend/caregiver, Jerry Brackett, of Ormond Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his wife,Gloria, in 2003.
