Robert Gilbert Johnson, 87, Bradenton, died Jan. 22, 2006. He was born April 13, 1918, in Hollywood, Calif., and came to Manatee County in 2001 from Boulder, Colo. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects and Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity in Los Angeles. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an Episcopalian. Survivors include his wife, Freda; a daughter, Margaret of Bradenton; a son, Robert B. of Marlborough, Mass.; a brother, Richard of Seal Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren. No visitation is planned. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel.
