Vinemont<!--Vinemont-->Funeral services for Robert F. "Bob" Horton, 73, of Vinemont will be Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Cullman County. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Horton, who died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at Regency Manor Assisted Living in Gurley, was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Cullman County to Floyd Leon Horton and Trudie Mildred Walker Horton. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Air Force. He served on the Hartselle City Council for 12 years, from 1970 to 1982. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Horton; two sons, Robert F. Horton Jr. of Midland, Texas, and Keith Horton of Hartselle; one daughter, Sandy Horton of Hartselle; one brother, Bill Horton of Vinemont; one sister, Dot Johnson of Birmingham; and one grandchild, Andrew Scoggins. Pallbearers will be Jim McKelvey, Tim McKelvey, Charlie Johnson, Scott Scoggins, Keith Horton and Robert Horton.
