Robert F. Finkof BinghamtonRobert F. Fink, 98, of Binghamton, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at the Susquehanna Nursing Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen, in 1979; a son, John W. Fink, in 1997; a daughter, Helen E. Nixon, in 1995; and a former wife, Marge Fink, in 1985. He is survived by his children, Barbara Farrell and her husband, George, Oneonta, Fran Alexander and her husband, Bud, Mary Dutcher and her husband, Don, Edward Fink and his wife, Cathy, all of Binghamton; a son-in-law, Dick Dixon and his wife, Cathy, Binghamton; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nephews and cousins; longtime family friends, Mary Donahue and her family; and many dear friends at Susquehanna Nursing Center. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, a retiree of the Endicott-Johnson Corp. with 44 years of service, and a member of the B.P.O.E. of Binghamton. Following his retirement, he worked as a school guard for the City of Binghamton. One of his greatest passions was to dance.Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, with his Pastor, Rev. Thomas Olsen, officiating. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Friends are invited to call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
