Lee, Robert Edward. Bob died February 15, 2005, in Jefferson, NC. He was 85 years old and a two-year resident of Jefferson, NC, and former resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Bob spent his career as a driver for Sun Oil Company. He was a proud WWII veteran and P.O.W. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances, one stepdaughter, Melanie Hiatt of West Jefferson, NC. One step-son, John Meaders and two grandchildren, Rachel and Johnathan Meaders, of Fort Worth,TX and three nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Boone Family Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11:00 am by Pastor Lawrence Goodman. Bob will be buried at Fort Drum Cemetery in Okeechobee, FL on Monday, February 21, 2005. at 11:00 am.
