Robert (Bob) Eaton1937-2014AUGUSTA - Robert (Bob) Eaton, 77, of Augusta, passed away the morning of Dec. 13, 2014, after a good life.Bob was born on Oct. 7, 1937. He retired from the Readfield School Dept. as custodian and after retirement, enjoyed making cedar and alder baskets.He was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Penn of Gage St., Augusta. Bob is survived by his children, sons Robert and wife Lisa of Augusta, Keith and wife Kim of Gardiner, Thomas and partner Laura of Belgrade, his daughter (his Mrs. Beasley) Susan and her husband J.R. of Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Evelyn Porter of Kents Hill, and Irene Porter of Whitefield; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Bob loved good county music, fairs, the New England Patriots, the Red Sox, NASCAR, and his monthly trips to Bolley's Famous Franks. Bob was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple pleasures that life offered.The family wishes to thank the staff on 2 West, Maine General Hospital, for the loving care. At Bob's request, there will be no services. The burial will in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner
