Robert E. Sullivan -->Robert E. Sullivan, 73, of Marlborough, MA, formerly of Watertown, MA, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Born in Boston, the son of the late Michael J. and Mary Frances (Foley) Sullivan, he was the loving companion, of Geri (Lee) Bell of Marlborough, with whom he shared the past 19 years. A graduate of St. Patricks High School, Watertown, he served in the US Army Reserves. Mr. Sullivan had been employed as an Electronics Technician at Raytheon Corporation in Waltham and Sudbury. Following his retirement in 2003, he moved to Marlborough where he enjoyed a busy, fulfilling life. He also maintained a vacation residence in North Conway, NH. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, and as an avid golfer he was a member of the North Conway Country Club. He enjoyed following Boston sports teams, traveling, worked diligently in his yard, researched his geneology, cross word puzzles and bird watching. Besides Geri, he is survived by his daughter, Dyane McIndoe and her husband Monte of Port Washington, NY, his brothers, Lawrence F. Sullivan of Alexandria, VA, George P. Sullivan and his wife Jane A. of Norwood, his sisters, Barbara Cavanagh and her husband Robert of Bourne, Mary E.Betty Cotton of Norwood, his grandchildren, to whom he was Pop-Pop, Margaret K., Veronica L., and Isaac M. McIndoe, Jaimie( Bell )Couture and her husband Jeff and their sons, Reed and Tanner, of Hampstead, NH, his former wife, Kathleen (Withrow) Sullivan of Port Washington, NY, 4 step-children and 17 nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late James M. Sullivan. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 30, from 5-8 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 1, at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.
