Robert E. "Bob" Johnson, 73, husband of Bobbie Jean Taylor Johnson, of 116 Sherwood Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at his home. Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Stanley Conway and Annie Rollings Johnson. He was a retired employee of Hamiltons and was a former employee of the Employment Office, a U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran, a graduate of Presbyterian College, and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Bobbie Jean Taylor Johnson of the home; two sons, Tony R. Johnson of Greenwood and Greg Johnson and wife, Adele, of Greer; a brother, Conway Johnson of Laurens; two sisters, Ruth White of Easley and Martha Willis of Laurens; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Anna Grace Johnson. He was predeceased by a brother, Stanley L. Johnson and a sister, Mildred J. Clark. Graveside services will be held on today, Nov. 17, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Charlie Short. The family will be at the home, 116 Sherwood Drive.
