CARTER, (Doug) Robert Douglas . March 18,1940 - August 1, 2014 Doug led a life filled with travel & adventure and shared times with family & friends. . He proudly served as a Burnaby Firefighter for 36 years. . Predeceased by his first wife, Lois and his parents, Wilfred & Gwen he leaves behind his wife, . Carolyn, his children Kirsten (Steve), Courtney, Jana (Doug) and his step children Michael (Krista), . Matthew (Christina), Jeffrey (Melissa) and his grandchildren, Peyton, Kevin, Kaegan, Jack, Aeryella, Brayden and Ryder as well as his sister, Diane and brother Kirby. . We wish to express our thanks to the many doctors and nurses who provided excellent care throughout his Cancer journey. . A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17th from 2 to 5pm at the Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam. .
