CARTER, Robert Warren, 58, of South Tampa passed away from cancer on Thursday, May 8, 2003. A lifelong resident of the Ballast Point area, he worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for Christ the King Catholic Church for the last 26 years. He graduated from Robinson High School in 1963, served in the Tampa Police Department, and was a paratrooper in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division. He is survived by his daughter, Angela M. Carter; his mother, Jane S. (Mrs. S.J. "Skip") Carter of Seminole; his stepchildren, Jon and Christina Weiland, and three step-grandchildren, all of Tampa; his sisters, Wanda B. Taylo r of Atlanta, Linda C. Williams of Orlando, and Patti J. Carter of St. Petersburg. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2003 a t Christ the King Catholic Church, Dale Mabry and Henderson Blvd, Tampa, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifePath Hospice of Tampa, 3010 West Azeele Street, Tam pa, FL 33609, or to the American Cancer Society.
