CHARTRAND, RobertTragically in Florida on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Loving husband of 31 years of Debby Sulany. Predeceased by parents Leo Chartrand and Agnes Gallenger. Beloved brother of Ray (Elaine Connolly), Tony (Nancy Larivière) and Diane (John) St. Louis. Much-loved uncle of Marc (Mel), Leigha (Ryan), Mike (Cyerra) and Ryan (Janet), as well as great-uncle to Ashton, and brother-in- law to Keith (Gillian) Sulany. Retired teacher (LaSalle Community Comprehensive High School,) member of the LCCHS Retirees, avid cycler with the Carravelo Cycling Group, passionate aviator and pilot, skilled hockey player and lifelong fan of the Montréal Canadiens. Will be sorely missed by extended family, friends, colleagues and former students. Many thanks to members of the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue and U.S. Coast Guard for their diligent efforts. Funeral mass to be held on Friday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Church, 7777 George St., Ville LaSalle, QC. Reception to follow immediately after in the Parish Hall.
